Abstract

Geological, geomorphological and hydrochemical analysis has been carried out to understand the hydrogeomorphological conditions and hydro chemistry of Ghoradongri watershed of Betul district of Madhya Pradesh. The visual interpretation oflRS 1D LISS III and partial field works carried out in the present study. The study area has four major geological formations (Archaean Crystalline Rocks, Gondwana sedimentaries and Deccan traps dolerite and basalt), traversed by mult i -direct ional lineaments/fractures. Groundwater prospects of different geomorphic units (pediments, pediment slopes, weathered pediplains and valleys, colluvial foot slopes etc.) are explained.
