Abstract
The effect of quenching on the hydrogen storage properties of Ti–V-based alloys was investigated for the first time. A perfect PCT desorption plateau and an increasing hydrogen capacity were obtained for the quenched Ti–28V–15Mn–10Cr alloy. This affords a new means for improvement of the hydrogen absorption–desorption performance of Ti–V-based alloys.
