Abstract
The working principles of the HYDRONIC‡ steam generator for producing sterilization steam are described. The steam generator is based on the combustion of hydrogen and oxygen. Results of intensive bacteriological investigations which analyze the quality of sterilization of bioreactors by direct steam feed, as well as continuous steam sterilization of liquid or pasty media, are presented. It was found that the HYDRONIC generator provides absolutely pure bacteria- and pyrogen-free steam.
