Abstract
S>We present photoelectrically measured profiles of H gamma and H beta in twelve normal A stars and nine peculiar A stars. The average random error per point is 1.1 percent. Systematic errors appear to be small. We find the functional relation between hydrogen line strength and color indices to be the same for these two groups of stars to within a l percent uncertainty.
