Abstract

Solar-light-driven photocatalytic water splitting to generate H2 energy is one of the most promising green technologies for clean and renewable energy demand. A facile method of fabricating a nitrogen-doped hierarchical porous TiO2 nanostructured photo catalyst without using any templates is developed. As J. Y. Park and co-workers report in article 1300018, Au-loaded TiO2 photocatalysts exhibit hierarchical porous architecture and enhanced photocatalytic activity for water splitting.
