Abstract
An analysis of the various causes which have delayed hydro-electric developments in Great Britain is first given, with particular reference to the economic aspect. A scheme is suggested whereby the scattered water-power of this country might be more efficiently utilized. A summary of progress in Great Britain up to the present time follows; and the particulars of the principal existing hydro-electric stations are given in tabular form.
