Abstract

The flow pattern in a cell in a layer of a highly porous cellular material is analyzed on the basis of Navier-Stokes equations by the finite-element method. The hydrodynamic resistance of highly permeable porous cellular materials to the transfer of liquid and gaseous media is determined. A comparison with experimental data is made.
