Abstract

The use of hydrodynamic cavitation in reagent processes involving aqueous media is considered. The experimental studies demonstrate intensification of chemical reactions occurring in the course of cavitation-oxidation treatment to remove ammonium nitrogen and of water desiliconization with magnesium oxide. The qualitative parameters of the enhancement of the process efficiency and the physicochemical prerequisites of the process are determined. The key role of cavitation in the complex reagent treatment of water is substantiated.
