Abstract
This is the first in a series of articles which will examine the use of various types of wound dressings in clinical practice. The properties of the specific wound dressing, the types of wound the dressing is most suitable for, and the correct application and removal of the dressing will be discussed in each article. The hydrocolloid dressings to be examined are Granuflex, DuoDerm Extra Thin, Comfeel, Tegasorb Advanced Formulation and Combiderm, which all come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
