Abstract

In a tracked amphibious vehicle, combination of the hydraulic shutter-control drive for the water-jet propulsion unit and the mechanical control drive for operation on land is proposed. The combined drive does not need separate control rods and is lighter than the existing mechanical drives. In addition, a hydraulic amplifier reduces the effort needed to control the shutters of the water-jet propulsion unit.
