Abstract

The pressure and temperature conditions for four phases of hydrate, water-rich liquid, hydrocarbon-rich liquid, and vapor were measured for the CH4 + C3H8 + methylcyclohexane + water, CH4 + C3H8 + 2,2-dimethylbutane + water, and simulated natural gas + methylcyclohexane + water systems in the temperature range of (275 to 290) K and in the pressure range of (1.0 to 8.0) MPa. The inhibition effect on the equilibrium conditions of CH4 + C3H8 hydrate and simulated natural gas hydrate was observed by adding methylcyclohexane and 2,2-dimethylbutane in the studied temperature and pressure range. The concentration of methylcyclohexane and 2,2-dimethylbutane was varied in the range of x = (0.003 to 0.034) to investigate the effect of the amount of structure H-forming hydrocarbon in the hydrate equilibrium conditions.
