Abstract

BackgroundHydatidosis is parasitic infestations caused by the larva of tapeworm Echinococcus species. Its relevance lies in its wide geographic distribution with high prevalence rate and its significant morbidity. Case presentationsWe report two cases of hydatid cyst 1) orbit and 2) spleen. In both the cases there was no clinical suspicion of any parasitic origin. ConclusionsThe purpose of this paper is to emphasize the fact that this disease should be suspected in cystic lesions in all organs of the body, especially in endemic areas of the world.
