Abstract

The evolution of language as a complex entity, dynamically developed and shaped over centuries by historical, cultural, and social influences, is a subject of study for linguistics specialists and professionals from other social areas. The interest in this field has been greatly stimulated by the current context of globalization and the advancement of informational technologies. The present work is a part of the doctoral thesis and aims to examine the process of modification and evolution of the standard language, with a particular focus on analyzing the phenomenon of language hybridization in Romanian. We will provide examples from online and professional communication, primarily drawn from texts found on social networking platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn, social communication platforms that record the language change in real-time.
