Abstract

A modified variational principle for analysis of Reissner plates on an elastic foundation prevented. The foundation may be of Winkler type or Pasternak type. A hybrid Trefftz (HT) finite element (FE) model has been developed based on the principle and a new set of T-complete functions. Several numerical examples are considered to assess the effectiveness of the proposed method.
