Abstract

A new solar hydrogen production system has been designed and simulated. The system operates at high temperatures with the use of a hybrid solar collector and a high-temperature electrolyser. The results show that the new hybrid high-temperature system can double the overall system efficiency over the classical PV hydrogen system operating at atmospheric temperatures.
