Abstract

A hybrid resonant and PWM current-driven full-bridge converter with dual output in series and shared lagging leg is proposed in this paper. The lagging-leg switches can realize fully Zero-Voltage-Switching (ZVS) based on the parallel resonant LLC configuration. The phase-shift control strategy is employed to regulated the whole output voltage of the proposed converter within the desired voltage range. The voltage stresses of the secondary rectifiers can be significantly reduced by using the current driven rectifiers and dual output in series configuration. Thus, the proposed converter would be a good candidate for high power and high-output-voltage applications. Steady state operation and relevant analysis results are presented. The operation principle and performance of the proposed converter is validated on a 1-kW hardware prototype.
