Abstract
This paper shows the use of MAP detection in-cooperating with the hybrid probabilistic geometric shaping (HPGS) in the optical long-haul fiber transmission. By computer simulation, the MAP detection over HPGS-64-QAM has a better system performance than the ML detection in both back-to-back and an optical fiber transmission case, respectively.
