Abstract

With gaining evidence of the efficacy of lung cancer screening with low dose computer tomography (CT) (1), more small, indeterminate lung nodules or ground glass opacities (GGO) are being discovered. However, these sub-centimeter lesions often harbor pre-malignant or early stage lung cancer, especially if solid component is present (2). The ability to obtain pathological diagnosis of these small lesions that are often peripheral through biopsy is important.
