Abstract

In the neonate’sdevelopment and in adult brain scanning process as well as in the assessment of brain growth, one of the technology that is progressively being used is Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). These studies majorly depends on the brain MRI images’ quantitative analysis of anatomical segmentation. Although, the new born MRI data’s current challenge for accurate segmentation includes overall growth and partial volumeof the brain, the lower signal-to-noise ratio, appearance associated with development, andlarge changes in the brain shape. This proposed methodspecifiesnew born brain’s accurate intensity-based segmentationframeworkusing K Means clustering and SeededRegion growing method combined approach.
