Abstract

A hybrid generalized scattering matrix/finite element method (GSM/FEM) is applied to the analysis of phased array of arbitrarily shaped apertures arranged in a triangular lattice and fed by rectangular waveguides with thick irises. The irises as well as the waveguides may be inhomogeneously filled, and the effect of dielectric sheet radomes can also be accounted for. Numerical results are included in the paper to illustrate the effectiveness and the accuracy of the method.
