Abstract

Combining polymer coated magnetic nanoparticles and block copolymer templates enables a simple wet chemical deposition of magnetic layers on solid supports with a high control on the film thickness and morphology. In article number 1500712 Peter Müller-Buschbaum and co-workers demonstrate a well-controlled arrangement of the nanoparticles within a parallel lamellar morphology of the polymer template. Such well-ordered nanocomposite films are very interesting for applications making use of the super-paramagnetic behavior. Cover Image by Christoph Hohmann, Nanosystems Initiative Munich (NIM).
