Abstract

A certain group of flat lesions with a size > 10 mm that show a very flat surface are called ‘NonGranular Laterally Spreading Tumors.’ They are difficult to detect, and the risk of submucosal invasion is high when they are present; more than 20% in lesions >2 cm. Their endoscopic resection can be challenging, and they represent, as well, one of the main indications for colorectal endoscopic submucosal dissection. The hybrid resection technique, which consists of a circumferential resection followed by snare resection, is one alternative approach for lesions <3 cm.
