Abstract

Hybrid Brain emotional learning based intelligent controller based vector control of induction motor drive is proposed in this paper. Induction motor drives are used in multitude of industrial and process applications requiring high performances. In high performance drives systems, the stability of motor speed is essential regardless of any load disturbances, parameter variations and model uncertainties. Imduction motor vector control method is suitable to attain good dynamic performance. The novel Hybrid emotional controller is proposed in this paper to improve the dynamic performance of the drive. The fuzzy logic controller is easy to implement and less computation. So Hybrid fuzzy PI based vector controller is hybrid with Brain emotional learning based intelligent controller for induction motor drive proposed to improve a static and dynamic performance of the system. In this paper, the performance of proposed controller is compared with hybrid fuzzy PI, fuzzy logic controller and PI controller based drive. The added feature of the proposed system is a Photovoltaic power source. This paper proposes PV powered Hybrid BELBIC based vector controlled induction motor drive itself obtains power from Photo Voltaic and makes a good dynamic response. The entire system is analyzed using Matlab/Simulink and evaluated with predictable controls.
