Abstract

Hyalinizing clear cell carcinoma of the lung is a very rare tumour, with fewer than 15 cases described. The main differential diagnosis is squamous cell carcinoma, testing for EWSR1 rearrangement, as discussed in a case of a low mitotic activity, mild atypias without necrosis, and stromal fibrohyaline bands.
