Abstract

The Pigments division of Huntsman Corp has completed the construction of a new iron sulphate plant at its titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigment manufacturing facility in Scarlino, Italy, for an investment of €38 million. The commissioning phase is expected to last two to three months, and the plant will be fully operational in 3Q 2014, the company reports. According to Huntsman, the new plant means that it can now use a wider range of feedstock to produce its Tioxide® and Altiris® pigments.
