Abstract
Some cancers prefer to metabolize lipids for their growth and metastasis. In a recent Cancer Cell study, Niu etal. revealed that SET domain containing 2, histone lysine methyltransferase (SETD2)-deficient pancreatic cancer cells induce the differentiation of lipid-laden cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), which, in turn, transport lipids to promote tumor growth.
