Abstract

Posterior reversible leukoencephalopathy is one cause of cortical blindness. It is well associated with renal failure and fluctuations of blood pressure. Here we present a female with a recent history of hump nosed viper bite with acute renal failure, presenting with hypertension, focal seizures and cortical blindness. A clinico-radiological diagnosis of posterior reversible leukoencephalopathy was made and she made a complete recovery with resolution of magnetic resonance imaging.
