Abstract

In article number 1705740, Bettina V. Lotsch and co-workers report a new generation of photonic humidity sensors based on ultrahigh refractive index lithium tin sulfide nanosheets and antimony phosphate nanosheets. Both materials intercalate water and show pronounced swelling under the influence of humidity. Once integrated as ultrathin 1D photonic crystals, pronounced sensitivity to ambient humidity, along with excellent optical quality is achieved. Cover Design: Katalin Szendrei-Temesi.
