Abstract
A device has been designed and built to maintain a crystal in equilibrium with an atmosphere of constant relative humidity during X-ray photography with the Buerger precession camera. The device employs a small constant-temperature enclosure, mounted directly on the goniometer head of the camera. A resistance-wire winding is used to supply a small amount of heat to the enclosure. The temperature is maintained constant by a thermistor-controlled electronic circuit. Temperature control is not interrupted during adjustments to the goniometer head nor when the film is changed.
