Abstract

Service sector has been driving India to a better position in terms of economy incomparison with Industrial and agriculture sectors. Under various service sector areas, the retailing sector has been continuously securing good position in terms of employment and as well as contribution to India’s GDP. Retailing sector has been observin g tremendous changes with the entry of organized retail companies. In the area of cut throat competition in organized retailing especially in 21 st century, the need for effective Human resource Management practices (HRM practices) has been increasing rapidly. The present study is a research based study primarily focuses on analyzing the HRM practices and the employees’ perceptions towards the satisfaction levels. Further, the study will bring a comparative analysis on the three select retail companies, i.Reliance Fresh, More and Spencers retail units in three select cities of India.
