Abstract
This textbook presents core material of obstetrics, gynecology, and perinatal medicine within a single volume of modest size. The book includes only the principles of treatment, and leaves the details of medical and surgical therapy for the clinical clerkship, internship, or residency. Infrequent disease entities and variants of specific disorders have been intentionally omitted. Seventeen chapters cover a wide range of topics such as development and anatomy of the female reproductive tract; the female reproductive cycle; family planning; human genetics; fertilization; the placenta and gravid uterus; fetal nutrition and growth;
