Abstract
Studies by high risk industries indicate that human error – the human element – is often a contributing cause of incidents. In these industries, identifying and addressing the human element of safety is referred to as human performance. In this paper, human performance theory will be discussed, human performance modes will be identified and human performance tools will be applied with the objective of changing and advancing the electrical safety culture.
