Abstract

Background: Human papillomavirus (HPV) immunization reduces the burden of HPV infections and subsequent cancers. Routine screening for cervical dysplasia and cancer following complex pelvic reconstruction in patients with congenital gynecologic anomalies or anorectal malformations can be difficult due to anatomic differences. The objective of this quality improvement study was to increase the rate of HPV immunization in females cared for in a multidisciplinary colorectal and pelvic reconstruction clinic.
