Abstract

(Abstracted from Prev Med 2022;159:107019) To prevent cervical cancer, vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV) is recommended for adolescents aged 21 to 65 years and cervical cancer screening for women aged 21 to 65 years. The National Committee for Quality Assurance Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) evaluates managed care plan effectiveness of care for HPV vaccination and cervical cancer screening, allowing individual health plans to assess their preventive services performance rates compared with other plans.
