Abstract
Human factors are critically important during the development of software, and nowhere more so than for safety critical systems. This paper gives one perspective on the PRICES project where human factors in the development process are being investigated. PRICES1 is a three year DTI/EPSRC SafeIT project, in its second year at the time of writing. The aim of the project is to enhance productivity and integrity in the development of safety critical software through the evolution of a new Code of Practice.
