Abstract
Allergy to human insulin or its analogs are rare, but it is still a significant issue in current diabetes care. Allergic reactions can range from localized injection site reactions to generalized anaphylaxis, and they can be caused by excipients or the insulin molecules themselves. When they occur however, they can be associated with severe symptoms, making it difficult to treat the patients who are dependent on Insulin. We here report a patient with generalized anaphylactic reaction to rapidly acting Human Insulin ACTRAPID.
