Abstract

There are many avenues for interaction and integration in complex systems of humans, processes and technologies. Among the ingredients that influence this integration are organizational leadership and culture, individual and organizational information processing, decisionmaking and learning, and the approaches that individuals and organizations use for the detection, diagnosis, and correction of errors. These contribute to the processes through which planning leads to actions and results. We examine some of these many considerations here. A major objective is provision of linkages between individual and organizational learning, and individual and organizational error commission, detection, diagnosis, and correction.
