Abstract

The Hugoniot curves for mixtures of aluminum and magnesium with metal oxides and calcite were calculated in the absence and presence of chemical transformations behind the shock wave front. The calculation results were used to interpret the measured parameters of shock-wave loading and of the attenuation of short-duration shock waves.
