Abstract

Sir Hugh Anderson, M.A., M.D., F.R.C.P., F.R.S.—In the death of Sir Hugh Anderson, the Master of Caius College, Cambridge, on November 2, 1928, radiology has lost a friend; one who, although almost unknown in radiological circles, has exerted a big influence. When the idea of a diploma in radiology was first mooted, it was Anderson who brought influence to bear in Cambridge. It was at his instance and in his study, that the first meetings in Cambridge took place. It was he who drafted the scheme and schedule of the diploma course, and it was very largely through his influence that the idea took shape and was eventually passed through the Senate.
