Abstract
Abstract 1) Background : Musculoskeletal disorder is a work-related health problem and is one of the causes of employee absence. Risk factors that can cause musculoskeletal disorder are awkward work postures and work environments like vibrations. The purpose of this research was to determine the correlation of work posture and mechanical vibration with complaints of musculoskeletal disorder; 2) Method : This research was an observational analytic study, with a cross sectional design. The research respondents from spinning unit workers PT Bintang Makmur Sentosa Tekstil Industri amounted to 110 respondents from 150 workers. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. This research used the Rapid Entire Body Assesment (REBA) method to assess work posture, vibration meters for measuring mechanical vibrations, and NBM questionnaire to assess musculoskeletal disorder complaints. The data analysis technique used Pearson test and multiple linear regression test.; 3) Results : The results of the research with Pearson correlation test showed that there was a significant relationship between work posture (p value = 0,000; r = 0819) and mechanical vibration (p value = 0,000; r = 0,951) with complaints of musculoskeletal disorder. Multiple linear regression test results showed work posture (p value = 0,000; B = 1,317) and mechanical vibration (p value = 0,000; B = 179,428) affected the complaints of musculoskeletal disorder. The proportion of the influence of work posture and mechanical vibration 91.8% on complaints of musculoskeletal disorder. 4) Conclusion : There is a significant correlation and influence between work posture and mechanical vibration with complaints of musculoskeletal disorder.
