Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between learning motivation and student learning outcomes in the biology learning media course at STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. The research method used is descriptive research with a sample size of 59 students. The sampling technique used total sampling. Instrument of the research was a questionnaire by using a Likert scale. The data were processed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study showed that r-count = 0.07 and r-table = 0.266. It shows that the value of r-count <r-tabel which means there is no significant relationship. So, it was found that there was a very low and insignificant relationship between motivation and student learning outcomes in the biology learning media course at STKIP PGRI West Sumatra in academic year 2018 / 2019.
