Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between headmaster’s transformational leadership behavior on teachers' work commitment among primary school teachers (SJKC )in the district of Hilir Perak. This study focuses on determining the significant relationship between those variable. The study design used is descriptive quantitative study. Questionnaires were used as the main instrument to collect data from respondents. A total number of 196 teachers from the primary school in the district of Hilir Perak, Perak Darul Ridzuan under the administration of Hilir Perak Education Office has been selected to answer the questionnaire. The data is analyzed by using the descriptive statistics method to find out the frequency, percentage, mean and the irrelevant factors while the inferential statistics method is used to test the hypotheses through Pearson correction. The results showed that there is a high relationship between the transformational leadership among headmasters and level of commitment work teachers in the school involved. Therefore, the headmaster who is practice in transformational leadership will give a big impact in improving the commitment work of the teacher to his/her duties at the school.
