Abstract
This study aims to empirically examine the relationship between workload and emotional intelligence with work-life balance in police officers. The research participants involved in this study were 100 participants obtained by accidental sampling technique and the tools used to obtain data using a workload scale, emotional intelligence scale, and work-life balance scale. The results of the major hypothesis test showed a relationship between workload and emotional intelligence with work-life balance (significance = 0,000 (p0,01); correlation coefficient (R) of the three variables of 0.829). The results of the analysis of workload and work-life balance variables obtained of – 0,829 with a significant level of 0,000 (p0,01). This shows that there is a very significant negative relationship between workload and work-life balance, thus the first minor hypothesis is accepted. The results of the analysis of emotional intelligence and work-life balance variables obtained of 0,712 with a significant level of 0,000 (p0,01). This shows that there is a very significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence and work-life balance thus the second minor hypothesis is accepted.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empirik hubungan antara beban kerja dan kecerdasan emosi dengan work-life balance pada anggota polisi. Partisipan penelitian yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 partisipan yang diperoleh dengan teknik accidental sampling dan alat yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data adalah skala beban kerja, skala kecerdasan emosi, dan skala work-life balance. Hasil uji hipotesis mayor menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara beban kerja dan kecerdasan emosi dengan work-life balance (signifikansi = 0,000 (p0,01); koefisien korelasi (R) ketiga variabel sebesar 0,829; sumbangan efektif sebesar 68,7%). Hasil analisis variabel beban kerja dan work-life balance diperoleh sebesar – 0,829 dengan taraf signifikan sebesar 0,000 (p0,01). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif yang sangat signifikan antara beban kerja dengan work-life balance, dengan demikian hipotesis minor pertama diterima. Hasil analisis variabel kecerdasan emosi dan work-life balance diperoleh sebesar 0,712 dengan tingkat signifikan sebesar 0,000 (p0,01). Hal ini menunjukkkan bahwa ada hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara kecerdasan emosi dan work-life balance, dengan demikian maka hipotesis minor kedua diterima.
