Abstract
To the northeast of Xuebao Peak (the main Peak of Mount Minshan), the Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area is situated in Songpan County, northwestern Sichuan Province, and within the jurisdiction of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. The area is dominated by a glaciated landscape made up of snow-capped peaks. In addition to the mountain landscapes, diverse biological ecosystems can be found here. The scenic area contains the Huanglong Valley, Danyun Gorge, Mouni Valley, Xuebao Peak, Snow Mountain Ridge, Hongxin Rock, Western Valley, and many other interesting areas. The huge travertine karst landscape, the natural scenery, and the unique ethnic customs combine harmoniously in the Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area.
