Abstract

Introduction

The industry generates great quantities of tailings throughout the world, the mining industry, which produces a variety of rejections because of the intensification of mining activities and the increased need for raw materials. These residues must be managed in a rational and safe manner, even if neutralized, in order to protect the environment, preserve nature and human health.
