Abstract

In this report, the dynamical properties of bicrystal Josephson junctions will be discussed with respect to their applications in microwave circuits. The long range proximity effect in structures with epitaxial barriers will be discussed in terms of the resonant tunneling model. Applications of Josephson junctions in arrays for microwave oscillators are promising. A new type of locking scheme which enhances the locking strength was developed. Experimental and theoretical investigations of the phase locking of HTS junctions will be presented. Applications of HTS junctions in microwave mixers and detectors for mm- and sub-mm waves are promising.
