HSSE Committee provides tools, support to promote member safety

Abstract

SEG's Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Committee has been working to provide tools and assistance to improve member awareness of risks and empower them to better mitigate associated hazards. In particular, the committee focuses its activities on supporting field activities, including SEG-sponsored field camps and Geoscientists Without Borders®, providing readily available and accessible HSSE guidance resources. Recent efforts have involved helping field camp planners ensure that their activities are completed as smoothly and safely as possible and providing resources to help Society members as a whole.
