Abstract
The American Society for Radiation Oncology’s (ASTRO) Choosing Wisely (CW) initiative recommends against the routine use of intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) for whole breast radiotherapy in patients with breast cancer (BC). The impact of CW on use of IMRT in older patients with BC following breast-conserving surgery was evaluated. Also, factors that may predict IMRT use were assessed.
