Abstract

Twin boundary (TB) structure and interface defects in a twin in deformed polycrystalline cobalt were studied by using high-resolution electron microscopy (HREM). The TB tends to be flat and a mirror plane. Two interface defects with Burgers vectors b −2/−2 and b 17/17 were found. The core structures of the observed interface defects were relatively compact.
