Abstract

Opportunities for improved cervical cancer prevention have expanded in recent years with primary prevention by vaccination, new screening guidelines and new guidelines for the management of abnormal cervical screening tests and cancer precursors. Adoption requires an understanding of the data and rationale that has created major changes in what both clinicians and patients have come to expect. This session will review strategies for improving vaccine compliance and provide an overview of new screening guidelines, which increase benefit while decreasing harm for patients.
